The service was as expected and the vehicle was in excellent condition. Everything was in place for a great stay on Mahé. As a bonus, they were kind enough to bring my cap back to me on our return from Praslin, just before we flew back to France. I had left it in the car at the airport a week earlier. That was really nice, as their office is 35 minutes from the airport.

Do I need to create an account?
No. Pick your dates, enter your driver details and confirm — the booking reference is emailed to you straight away.
How far ahead do I need to book?
At least 24 hours before pickup. Anything shown as available inside that window can be booked instantly — the car is held for you the moment the booking is confirmed.
How is a rental day counted?
Rentals are charged per 24 hours from your pickup time. Pick up at 10:00 and return by 10:00 the next day and that is 1 day; returning within 15 minutes of that time adds nothing, later than that starts another charged day. Your dates are priced this way at checkout, so the total you see is the total you pay.
What documents do I need?
You must be at least 23 and hold a valid driving licence for at least three years, plus bring your passport or ID. Every driver needs their own licence at pickup, and Western Cars will confirm the card or other security needed at handover.
How and when do I pay?
On collection — nothing is charged when you book. Cash carries no surcharge; card payments add 4%.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes, and cancellation is free. Send us your booking reference and we will take care of it — if your dates have moved, tell us and we will rebook you whenever the car is available.
Where can I collect the car?
Seychelles International Airport, the Inter Island Ferry terminal, or your hotel or guest house on Mahé.
